6107-00 1980s Hickory Chair Winterthur Dressing Table

Rectangular table top overhang Street drawers surrounded with double arched moldings and featuring teardrop brass poles. The front skirt is dramatically outlined by beaded Augi arches; dependent, or drop, Phineas shaped like acorns. The trumpet turned legs are reinforced by two flat, S-curved stretchers which cross in the middle to form an X. Dressing tables of this quality would be placed in prominent locations in bed chambers in parlors of early 18th century American homes.
