19th century burl walnut partners writing desk with armchair. This desk has functional curved drawers on both sides, a true partner’s desk. This desk is made of walnut and has oak-lined curved drawers, but is covered with a burl walnut veneer (old-style veneer).
This desk is on a larger scale (notice size) and would be an exceptional focal piece. The desk has superb quality and shows this not only with the veneer work but also in the quality of the cabriole and claw ball legs. Perfect scale for the size. The cabriole legs are with knee centered. This is a special piece purchased in England. One thing to note is the top is made in a four matched burl walnut panel look. Looks very good
