A wonderful English Queen Anne walnut and burled walnut two part collector’s cabinet, its upper case with a molded cornice surmounting a case with two upper fitted drawers over two doors with beautiful burled walnut veneers which open to a compartmentalized interior with 10 fitted drawers surrounding a central prospect door, which opens to one upper fitted drawer and six hidden interior drawers. All the drawer fronts and doors feature burled walnut fronts, star decorated brass drop pulls. The lower case has graduated waistmolding over a burled frieze, all supported by four long cabriole legs terminating with pad feet. The piece also has diamond form inlay on each side. The cabinet dates to the early 18th century, with the stand added at a later date, and is in very good overall condition, with some minor molding losses, imperfections, and light wear commensurate with age and use.
