Mid-Century Black and Cream Glass Desk, 1970s

Elegant and refined desk in black lacquer and glass. Particular its design which provides for a slight curvature.

The writing desk is in lacquered wood in black shellac, the lacquering is well polished. The shape is not rectangular, the long sides are slightly curved, almost enveloping the person sitting on it. In front of those who sit down, the top has a recessed glass part. The glass is cream colored, and has been diamond cut on three sides. On the front of the desk there are four small drawers, with four small glass and brass handles as well. The desk is raised off the ground by four saber-shaped legs, well positioned to give it stability.
