Vintage Design
In its’ earliest form, surgical lighting involved using windows which were positioned south-easterly with mirrors to maximise sunlight exposure and reflect light appropriately. However, the discovery of electricity in 1879 inevitably led to dramatic innovative changes. These lights were used in the early 40’s & 50’s for medical surgeries, made to be fully adjustable for height and position lighting during such surgeries, easily moved around due to the smooth movement of the castors.
This light would make a great statement piece in any home or as a shop display. Remains in original condition and has been polished to showcase the stainless steel. (Has been rewired & PAT tested in full working order, does require 3 bulbs)
