Glasgow-based Briggs & Cole created the one-of-a-kind ‘3/5 Table’ to inaugurate the opening of Steven Holl’s new architectural addition to the venerable Glasgow School of Art. Briggs & Cole developed this design in celebration of the Glasgow School of Art’s two architectural landmarks: Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s original Art Nouveau beauty from the turn of the 20th century, and now Steven Holl’s cutting-edge showstopper, which opened in 2014. The boardroom-sized 3/5 Temperance Table features a white metal base supporting an oak tabletop digitally printed with a collage of architectural details from both GSA buildings.
