Antique German Dresden Meissen Porcelain Hand Painted Tazza Centerpiece

A lovely gilt bronze mounted Dresden porcelain charger centerpiece.

German, 19th/20th century, featuring exquisite hand-painted classic provincial scene with lady and gentleman painting at an easel, elaborate floral decoration, gilded accents, white and celeste blue ground, signed D. Theobald – T.

The circular porcelain charger mounted with reticulated brass rim, ornate sculptural scroll flourish gilt bronze handles, rising elegantly on pierced gilt bronze feet.

Marks:
Porcelain verso marked with Meissen style crossed swords in blue underglaze, with an illegible word over it, possibly France?, impressed “10/2” or “1012”. Bronze handles stamped “PS”. Artist signed D. Theobald – T.

Very good original antique condition. Nicely aged patina – oxidation to metals. Presents well.
Please note, we are not porcelain experts and cannot guarantee the origin or authenticity of this piece. It’s possible the porcelain was made in Germany and sent to France where it received the gilt bronze mounts. It is a beautiful and highly decorative example
