An important and rare Queen Anne extension dining table

Book-matched walnut, having a rounded rectangular top with molded and cross-banded borders inlaid with double arrow pattern bands. The shaped frieze has a carved gadrooned border and rests on cabriole legs that are carved on the knees with scrolls and acanthus leaves and terminates in pad feet.
Measures: 78″ W x 48″ D x 29.5″ H. Extends up to 130.5″ W with three 17.5″ leaves.
Newly refinished. Excellent condition.
This table appears in The Dictionary of English Furniture, MacQuoid and Edwards. English, circa 1710.
