This highly unusual 19th century table has a solid elmwood plank top, two drawers, and graceful, fluid carved legs that end in blossoming chrysanthemum carved feet. Chrysanthemums, a hardy flower, have traditionally symbolized autumn, endurance, and longevity. The aprons beneath each drawer are carved with trailing vines, complemented by the rich character of the table’s original aged lacquer finish.
