A Chinese antique Qing Dynasty period coffer from the 19th century, with brown lacquer, brass hardware, horse hoof feet and rustic appeal. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this coffer features a long rectangular top with removable panel, accented in its center with a brass lock. This unhinged panel opens up to reveal an unfinished interior convenient to store various items such as blankets, books or shoes. The façade showcases a recessed structure accented with slightly raised panels. Raised on four short horse hoof feet, the ensemble is entirely covered with a brown lacquer enhancing the piece’s general simplicity.
