Description

This trio of plates bear a marking from a studio which I have yet to identify, but show all the signs of a genuine set imported from the legendary ceramics hub of Deruta, Italy. In addition to the quality of the hand-painted decorations, the bottom of each plate reveals 3 points at which the clay underneath the glaze is visible, likely from resting on a stand while being painted. The uncommon crescent shape lends itself to different arrangements on the dinner table; these would be great for snacks, salads, or desserts.
