A stately pair of Qing dynasty inspired rosewood scholar armchairs hand-crafted circa 1920s with traditional joinery. Ruyi motif, stylized aprons, square-sectioned legs terminating in scroll-end feet with runner.
Displays normal wear commensurate with age.
Please Note: Upon close inspection, one fine crack is observed on surface of one seat. Professionally repaired/reinforced by previous owner to enhance stability. Great care was taken to preserve the historical authenticity of the piece, incorporating handmade pegs to match the originals. Please examine photos carefully for details. Matching chair is in great condition. No other repairs or imperfections observed. Substantial in weight and sturdy. Both pieces remain fully functional for modern use.
