I have never seen one of these chairs before, I have bought quite a few of the side tables and actually have 2-3 listed for sale under my other items, I have never seen one in auction, online or anywhere listed for sale. This is a very rare custom commission, maybe the only one of its kind
These chairs were imported by Mr. Liberty in 1905, I was always told they were Japanese however after some verification on the writing on the back I have been informed it says Qing dynasty in Chinese
The piece is in very good condition, the legs have been glued in place at some point, originally they were designed to slot in and out at will. We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom
Dimensions:

This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses
Condition:
Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
